School Meals

CHARTWELLS (ending 24 July 2018)

Oakdale uses Chartwells as a supplier for our hot school meals but we will be changing to Star Cuisine in September 2018.  Please see details below.


For the remainder of this term all orders must be placed online via Chartwells' website: www.dorset.mealselector.co.uk. Meals can be ordered any time until the cut off time of midnight on Sunday, 7 days before the full week in which the meal is to be served.  The last possible order date being 14 July 2018.



From September 2018, Oakdale will use Star Cuisine as a supplier for our hot meals.  The cost is £2.50 per meal.  To be able to place your order for the first two weeks back in September, you will be required to order meals and pay through the parentmail account by Tuesday 17 July 2018.  The school will be unable to provide hot meals for the first two weeks back if orders are not received by this date.  The menu for the Autumn term and the allergy chart is listed below.


If your child is starting in Year 3 in September, you will receive an information pack at their transfer day on Friday 6 July.  Should your child not be attending on this day, an information pack will be posted to you.



If you are receiving any of the following, your child could be entitled to  free school meals:

  • Income Support

  • Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Guaranteed Pension Credit

  • Asylum Support (under Part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999)

  • Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit)

  • Employment & Support Allowance (income-related)

We urge all parents who are eligible for free hot meals to apply for them. School funding is partly based on numbers of children registered for free hot meals, so please consider applying, even if you still prefer to send your own packed lunch.  An application form for free hot meals is available from the school office.
