Grade: E - £18,070-£20,138 per annum pro rata (£9.36-£10.43 per hour)
Hours: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum
Oakdale Junior School is looking for a dedicated and skilled caretaker to join our school team. This is a key role that would suit someone with excellent DIY skills and the ability to undertake routine maintenance, decoration and cleaning. You must be able to work on your own initiative and be proactive in dealing with day to day tasks. You will have the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and liaise effectively with all contacts. Security of the school’s building is also an important part of the role. You would be a nominated key holder and would be required to: open and close the building as a daily routine; site security; maintaining the site to ensure the safety of pupils; support the monitoring of service performance on site contracts; liaise with contractors.

We are looking for a Caretaker who:
- Is committed to working as part of a wider school and Partnership team
- Has high standards and takes pride in the school environment
- Ideally, has previous experience of working in a school environment or caretaking (but not essential)
- A good understanding of premises maintenance including electrical, plumbing, decorating, building work and/or carpentry knowledge
